Nearly 1,050 prospective students have already submitted their forms, while the university has sold over 2,900 prospectuses. SSUET vice chancellor Prof Dr Javed Hussain Rizvi informed officials during a meeting on Thursday that submission of admission forms increased by 25 per cent from last year.
Civil engineering appears to be the top choice of prospective students, as the department received 414 applications, followed by electronic engineering (307), computer science (122), telecommunication (45) and biomedical disciplines (34). The university will conduct its entrance test on November 18 at the Expo Centre.
