E-employee: Smart cards for government staff

HYDERABAD: The center issuing smart cards to Sindh government employees will open on October 15 at the secretariat of the Hyderabad division commissioner, Ahmed Bux Narejo.

He met a National Database and Registration Authority team on Thursday. They hope to issue the ‘Sindh Employees Smart Card’ within six months and cover government servants in all nine districts of Hyderabad division.

The government wants to computerise employee data to help identify ghost employees or those who have been doing dual jobs in the Sindh government.
