Cricket: Match between T&T, Uva washed out

The chase got off to the worst possible start as Dilshan Munaweera was caught at third man.

The inconsequential match between already an eliminated Trinidad & Tobago (T&T) and Uva Next in the Champions League Twenty20 qualifiers was washed out by rain after T&T scored 181 for three in the first-innings.

The top two contributions were made by Denesh Ramdin and Darren Bravo who remained unbeaten at 50 and 54 respectively, according to ESPNcricinfo.

The chase got off to the worst possible start as Dilshan Munaweera was caught at third man off the first ball of the chase. The drizzle then intensified and forced the players off the field, and the Johannesburg storm did not ease up in time for the game to resume.

The tournament kicks off with Group A matches between Titans and Perth followed by Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils tomorrow.
