Community police personnel gunned down in Charsadda

Sher Alam was shot dead by unidentified men riding a motorcycle.

CHARSADDA: A community police personnel was killed when unidentified motorcyclists shot at him in Khan Mahi area of Charsadda district on Wednesday.

An official of the Khan Mahi police said that according to the report filed at the station, Sher Alam and his friend Shehzad were patrolling in Panirak area when two masked men traveling on a motorbike stopped near them and opened fire at them. Alam was killed on the spot, but Shehzad narrowly escaped. The unidentified accused managed to make good their escape.

The police offcial said that Shehzad has filed a complaint and a case has been registered.
