Militants strike: Van attacked in Kurram Agency

HANGU: Three passengers were injured when unidentified suspected militants attacked a passenger vehicle near Parao village in Lower Kurram Agency on Monday, targeting the Shias. A political administration official said that a van loaded with 18 passengers from Parachinar was en route to Peshawar when militants opened fire at the vehicle when it reached Parao. “The skilful driver did not stop the vehicle despite the heavy firing and saved the lives of the passengers,” the official added. Injured were shifted to the Thal Combined Military Hospital. A search operation was launched and 11 suspects were arrested.
