Addressing a press conference at his residence on Tuesday, he said that the SBC has launched a province-wide movement against Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO), but the PPP was trying to make their peaceful movement, violent.
Shah alleged that PPP minister Zahid Bhurgri along with armed men thrashed some lawyers from Hyderabad, who were protesting against this controversial bill and compelled them to end their protest.
Speaking about the Khairpur rally firing incident, he said that it took place due to personal enmity, while the ruling party was trying to label it as an terrorist attack in order to sabotage the movement against SPLGO.
Shah claimed that the PPP was harassing people by staging rallies in favor of SPLGO where their activists openly display weapons.
Briefing on another peaceful rally against the SPLGO, the SUP chief said that tomorrow, Wednesday October 10, 2012, they will stage a peaceful rally outside Karachi Press Club(KPC), warning that if someone tried to sabotage their rally through violence, the Sindh government will be held responsible.
Shah said that organising protest was their right and that their peaceful movement will continue till the SPLGO, which he termed as a black law, is withdrawn.
He urged rally participants to hold non-violent demonstrations.
