The federation submitted an application in the apex court challenging the four steps. The government maintained that the court was stepping out of its jurisdiction with these demands.
The letter-writing process consists of four steps:
Step 1: An authorisation letter will be issued to the law minister tasking him to write the letter.
Step 2: The draft of the letter will be cleared by the Supreme Court after a review.
Step 3: The mode of sending the letter will be decided – either by a special messenger or by courier.
Step 4: A receipt will be submitted to the Supreme Court confirming that the letter has been sent to the Swiss authorities in Geneva.
The next hearing for the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case is scheduled for tomorrow.

When the judges can write poetry in judgments, take oath under PCO, grant bail to terrorists, listen to cases pertaining to their own kin, then why don't they write the letter themselves and spare the nation from this misery.
Govt must read between the lines!!!! Supreme court want to write on his own!!!! Govt should handover this task to these extremist courts and see what piece of writing they produce!!!
SC thought that they were "inches away" from resolving the matter of writing letter to Switz. Now it seems they are MILES away, thanks to cunning law wizards in the Govt.
I think, Zardari will continue one more term as President, but letter will not be send to Swiis authority.
Three years gone, Court orderd to send letter, nothing happend,
Pakistani poor people, living in fool paradise, never interested in letter, send or not, they already have millions of problems.
Political leaders, Government, Media, all playing ,with Public
God help Pakistani people.
All I can say is justice delayed is justice denied. We have seen inordinate delays in all high profile cases. So where are we headed for??
Musical chairs is a game played by small children all over the world. However in Pakistan, this game has been organised by its Supreme court and played by number of PM's of the country but with difference that the winner PM who occupies the chair is declared as a loser and the next one is called to meet the same fate since the rules of this simple game have been twisted by the organiser at behest of the top institution.
The letter-writing process consists of four steps: Prior to this a PM would be appointed with the SC approval, preferably from another party who has taken oath under PCO not Pakistani constitution.
Step 1: An authorisation letter will be issued to the law minister (appointed and approved by the SC) tasking him to write the letter.
Step 2: The draft of the letter will be cleared by the Supreme Court after a review. This may take several years and many extensions. As the record shows we could not decide a single case against Zardari even in 15 years while keeping him in jail.
Step 3: The mode of sending the letter will be decided – either by a special messenger or by courier. In either case they should be the member of a rightwing or a banned party.
Step 4: A receipt will be submitted to the Supreme Court confirming that the letter has been sent to the Swiss authorities in Geneva. During all this time all the judges of SC would not decide any other case including Prince Arsalan or other public interest.
During all these proceedings the SC would remain neutral and independent and provide swift justice keeping up with the bright history of this PCO SC.
There is no doubt that governments and bureaucrats of Pakistan are 'creative' in miss use of power, abuse of law and have nor moral. Zaradri has time after time demonstrated that he lacks sincerity, just like Nawaz has shown lack of political maturity and other political parties in Pakistan have proved they are opportunist and have no sincerity to people or country.
The media and political commentators and and journalist have shown they too are not far behind politicians. For example convicted cricketer was a commentator on ARY, a journalist who was taking instructions from his interviewee and from someone outside while interviewing now hosts another show on TV and the list of politicians is just too long to even start. The point is that a large number of Pakistani politicians have lost their loyalty, integrity and faith. A country who has Rehman Malik as their Foreign Minister, what else is left to be commented upon.
SCP does not fair any better, they seem to be too keen to get involved any small matter and waste too much time in considering simple cases. The judges are unable to reach a conclusive verdicts and keep deferring the outcome. It is about time that theses judges learn to make objective decision and get them implemented. This will enable lower courts to follow the example and expedite the jutice. Justice delayed is justice denied. NRO ruling not implemented soon will be biggest down fall of judges.
The SC has time & again informed that AAZ is not singly involved but 5 more people are accused.Once, the case is opened by the Swiss authority only then the question of immunity can be filed in SC....yet this case is twisted & presented to the people as if SC is at fault....
Either Hon Supreme Court takes stern action or just drop the case. Enough is enough. The government has to respect orders of Supreme Court
There is so much wonderful news pouring in from all parts of the country, let us now discuss the Swiss letter. The government is more interested in saving its 60 million dollars rather than saving its people.
It is right to resist selfish, revengeful , unlawful demands of a court that itself is PCO and coruption tainted
Delay of justice in this case is injustice. Once again Govt get time and made fool all people,
The court missed some important steps like 5) the letter will be written with a fountain pen 6) blue ink will be used 7) the paper on which the letter is written will be procured from Lala Book Depot, Dharampura, Lahore 8) The law minister will not use his saliva to seal the envelope and finally 9) It will be sent by airmail (not by sea) using Pakistan Postal Service.
Great another delay now.
