Football: Balochistan settle for bronze
KARACHI: Balochistan United FC defeated Islamabad 2-0 in the National Women Football Championship to claim third position. Balochistan United FC’s Arooj scored the opening goal in the 39th minute while captain Riffat Fatima sealed the victory. Earlier, Balochistan United FC went down 1-0 to defending champions Young Rising Star FC in the semi-final after stunning Diya FC to get that far. Apart from the third-place consolation, Balochistan United FC also went away with Rs150,000. Young Rising Stars FC and Wapda will play the final in Islamabad today.
