Anti-Islam film: Afghan cleric offers cash for producer's death
“I have offered $300,000 to anyone who kills the anti-Islam film producer and $100,000 for killing the French cartoonist," Mir Faroq Husaini, a prominent cleric in the western province of Herat, told AFP Sunday.
Husaini said he had first announced the reward during a sermon on Friday in a large mosque in the city.
"I will sell all my properties, including my lands in Herat, to collect the money," he said.
The "Innocence of Muslims", a crudely made film that mocks Islam, triggered violent protests in at least 20 countries including Afghanistan after excerpts were posted online last month.
Immediately after the film gained notoriety, French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo published cartoons caricaturing the Muslim prophet.
Pakistan railways minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour last month placed a $100,000 bounty on the head of the maker of the film.
Bilour also called on the Taliban and al Qaeda to join the hunt and help accomplish the "noble deed".

oh for God sake just dont watch it if you have a problem ... spend that money to feed someone in your war torn country...
Who will go to Afghanistan to collect the cash? Killing the producer may be easy, it's collecting the cash that is the problem.
They also need to make a Federation of Reward Offerers so that the process of payout is centralized.
if you act in this way(eye for eye}what film says would be correct..i dont think god will happy if you kill him..if god want he can kill him better than you do..all muslims distroy their name only becouse of this kind act.you distroyed your prophet name and gods name than that film maker did. i m not justifying him but please dont destroy name of the Muslim your self.

How does a cleric accumulate so much of wealth?
I'm sure there are thousands of hungry people in Herat who will appreciate alot if they have something to eat. Instead of gaining cheap fame mr hussaini should give that money to them and I'm sure Muhammad (saw) will be more happy.

Seems to be a competition between afghans & Pakistani's (clerics & politicians).
Inshaa Allah the deed will be accomplished and no one will dare again to do such sacreligious act again.
Thats why both countries are centre of war and all kind of crimes. People and leaders of said countries know nothing except bloodshed. Try to make resolve all problems just by gun.
