Football: Pakistan to host Palestinians

KARACHI: Pakistan will host two friendly matches against Palestinian footballers in hopes of reviving international sport in the country, an official said Saturday.

Pakistan Football Federation secretary Ahmed Lodhi said: “We are delighted to host Palestine for two friendly matches between October 14-18 and hope that the tour will send a good message to the world that our country is safe for international sports.”

Lodhi said the visit followed a Palestinian tour last year involving two matches against a Pakistan Under-22 team.

“It is a good sign that teams have found Pakistan a safe place and we look forward to hosting more teams in the future,” said Lodhi.

"Zaid Hamid", At least we didnt protest to fifa because we wanted to play the world cup in barefeet. :-)

First person from the subcontinent to play in the EPL, WAS A PAKISTANI.

Zesh Rehman.

Any Indians ever played in the premier league? NOPE.

1.2 billion people, and not 1 player has ever played in the best league in the world. Embarrassing.

Just the facts, ET let this one through.

@Rizwan why criticize? at least we are doing something positive and non-violent. It is high time that we redevelop what we lost of sporting involvement.
