Second-seed Asjad Iqbal and Shahram Chengazi also marched into the last-four, while Mohammad Sajjad suffered a shock exit.
Meanwhile, Asif breezed past Javed 96-21, 0-96, 81-1, 27-75, 59-24, 79-26, 53-47 that included breaks of 88, 81 and 75 in the first, third and sixth frame respectively. Asif faces Sohail Shahzad, who defeated Sajjad 5-3 with frame scores of 78-29, 44-84, 21-90, 09-74, 70-48, 90-0, 68-32, 73-55. The other best-of-11 semi-final will be played between Iqbal and Chengazi.
Iqbal overwhelmed Shahid Aftab 5-2 with frame scores of 75-23, 0-74, 98-6, 15-88, 116-8, 60-48, 59-13. Chengazi overcame Umair Alam 5-3 with a 23-70, 66-17, 18-68, 79-0, 70-61, 67-20, 05-64, 117-1 scoreline.
