Freed: Abducted former nazim released

HANGU: Three men, including a former nazim of a union council in Ganjiyano Kallay, were released by unidentified kidnappers on Wednesday. Gul Sahib Shah, the former nazim, and his two friends Wajid and Imran, residents of Hangu and Peshawar respectively, have returned home safely, District Police Officer Hangu Mian Saeed told The Express Tribune. Though the kidnappers have not yet been identified, the DPO said the abductors could be a gang of criminals or militants. The three men went missing from Cham Bagol on June 7 and a case was registered at the Hangu City Police Station. A police official familiar with the case said that a video of the kidnapped men was sent to a member of provincial assembly, Attiqur Rahman, showing the former nazim pleading to the MPA to fulfil the demands of the kidnappers for their release.
