According to reports‚ issues including the latest development in the NRO implementation case were discussed in the high-level meeting.
Law Minister Farooq H Naek and government counsel in the case Wasim Sajjad briefed the president, prime minister and others attending the meeting about the government's stance on writing the letter to Swiss authorities as well as the final draft to be presented before the Supreme Court.
Earlier‚ Zardari and Ashraf held a separate meeting.
The president informed the prime minister about his recent visit to United Nations, where he held wide ranging talks with world leaders on bilateral and regional issues.
Presidential spokesperson added that the prime minister briefed the president on the situation in Balochistan as well as the law and order and energy situation in the country.
A meeting of the PPP core committee has also been summoned for Thursday.
Governor, CM Sindh brief on SPLGO
Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah also held a meeting with Zardari and briefed him about the recent developments in the province and the passing of the local government ordinance in the Sindh assembly.
Meanwhile, Inspector General Police Fayyaz Leghari was also summoned to Bilawal House, where he briefed the president over the recent spate of violence by protesting Sindhi nationalists and other incidents in Karachi.
