Risking lives: Twelve injured as school roof collapses

EDO (Education) Noor Zada ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Twelve people were injured when a roof of a private school collapsed in Pirsadi, Shergarh on Monday.


A senior doctor at the hospital they were taken to said that out of the 12 wounded, eight were in critical conditions. Hira Model School Principal Rasool Khan told The Express Tribune that a labourer had been repairing the worn-out roof when it caved in while thirty students of grade seven were studying in the class.

EDO (Education) Noor Zada, who visited the school, said that the building was not in a good shape. Zada ordered an inquiry into the incident.
