KARACHI: The Pakistan Scrabble Association (PSA) will send a six-member squad to the World Youth Scrabble Championship in England in December.

Moizullah Baig won the qualifying tournament on Sunday evening to book a place among the top six players while Shahzaib Khatri and Javeria Mirza will take part as the top two juniors’ players of the country. The squad also includes Mohammad Inshal, Jahanzaib Khan, Maryam Arif and Yash Gandhi. While Khatri and Mirza had represented Pakistan in Malaysia in the World Youth Championship last year, this will be the first international event for Baig.

The PSA President Taqri Pervez said that he is confident of a good show by the players and believes they have the potential to finish among the top three countries in the world.
