The inclusion of former players accused of match-fixing as officials accompanying our players on its recent tour is proof, if any is needed, of the board's non-serious handling of this issue. One of the team officials, a former player and a selector, was accused in writing of accepting a bribe from a player for his selection. Yet this PCB board does not hesitate to associate these rotten eggs with the national team. Given this background, what has now taken place was bound to happen. The whole nation has been shamed by the players and the PCB.
