Mysterious death: Body found in gunny bag in Kohat

A body was found on Bypass Road on Sunday.


Sadullah, a police official of the city police station, said that they received a call at 8am from unidentified people who informed them about the body. “We rushed to the area and found the bullet-riddled body,” he added.

The official said that they also found his national identity card identifying him as Haji Akbar, 35, a resident of Orakzai Agency. His current address on the card was of Kohat Gamkol Afghan refugee camp. Jan Akbar’s father filed an FIR, saying his son has been missing for the last three days.

According to police reports, the number of bodies found has reached 26 in 30 days in Peshawar, Charsadda and Nowshera districts.
