Road Mishap: School van overturns, injures 24

A van carrying school and college students overturned on Indus Highway in Karak.

KARAK:


A van carrying school and college students overturned on Indus Highway in Karak on Saturday, injuring 22 students and two teachers.


The vehicle transporting students to private institutions overturned when one of its rear tyres wore out near an Industrial Estate around 7:30am. The injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital.

According to Dr Jamil Anwar, a senior medical officer at District Headquarters Hospital, all the injured were only treated with first aid.

The two teachers in the van, Sajid Rahim and Ashraf Mehfooz, informed the parents of the students who had been rushed to the hospital.

The children were discharged as soon as they received treatment.
