Police operation: 55 arrests in a day

The SSP said they had registered separate FIRs against them and started investigations.

FAISALABAD: Police arrested 55 people from various parts of the city on Thursday. Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sadiq Ali Dogar told the media on Friday that those arrested included 30 proclaimed offenders (POs), a court absconder, 12 others for drug peddling and 12 for possession of of illicit weapons. Police also recovered 3.7 kilos of heroin, 4.515 kilos of hashish, 2,081 bottles of liquor, seven 0.3 bore pistols, a revolver, four shot guns and 10 bullets from these men. The SSP said they had registered separate FIRs against them and started investigations.
