Love marriage: Police directed not to harass couple
The petitioner accused that police use derogatory language against her and her husband.

Additional District and Sessions judge Tariq Mahmood Zargham directed the Shahdara station house officer on Friday not to harass a couple who married of their free will. Petitioner Rabia Bibi said she had married Zeeshan on September 25. Following her marriage, she said, her father submitted an application to the Shahdara police, alleging that she had been abducted. She said police officials had since then been frequently visiting her home and harassing her and her husband. She said they used derogatory language against them. The judge directed the Shahdara station house officer not to harass the couple.
