PPP’s politicking: Mahars asked to speed up electioneering

KARACHI: Sardar Ali Gohar Khan Mahar, Sardar Rahim Bakhsh and Nasir Hussain Shah have been told to speed up political activities in upper Sindh for the next general elections. The latest recruits of the ruling party had called on the Sindh chief minister, Qaim Ali Shah, who is also the provincial president of Pakistan Peoples Party. Sindh’s revenue minister, Jam Mehtab Khan Dahar, and information minister Sharjeel Memon were also present at the meeting on Tuesday. The political situation after the promulgation of the Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance, 2012 was also discussed, according to the handout issued. The efforts to spread the message of the PPP throughout the province also came up during the meeting. It was decided that preparations for the next general election would start in line with the vision and policies of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
