Mysterious murders: Two bullet riddled bodies found in Charsadda

Two bullet-riddled bodies were found near Naway Kalay in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to a Tarnab police official, Inayatullah, police were informed that the bodies were found in Aba Bakray at 7am. When they reached the area, they found the bodies lying in a thicket.

Police have estimated the time of death was around 3am. “They were shot multiple times by an assault rifle with their hands tied behind their backs. They were only untied after they had been shot,” Inayatullah added. He said there were many bullets shells around the area. He further said that an abandoned van had also been found parked near the bodies and was subsequently taken for investigation.

An FIR was registered by police against the unidentified assailants and the bodies were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy at around 8am. The police official also said that relatives of the deceased came to claim the bodies at 11am, and identified them as Adnan and Hamayun, residents of Kochian, Gulbela.
