Fatal accident: Two killed in hit-and-run

FAISALABAD: Two motorcyclists were killed in a hit-and-run accident on Jhang-Bhakkar Road on Tuesday. Jhang police said Rab Nawaz, 35 and his pillion rider Javaid Iqbal, 45, both residents of Qaim Bharwana in Jhang, were headed to Shorkot when their motorcycle was hit by a truck near Mallohana Mor. They said Nawaz died on the spot while Iqbal suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Jhang district headquarters (DHQ) hospital where he died. Police said the bodies had been shifted to a mortuary and a team formed to track down and arrest the truck driver.
