Anti-Islam film: APC threatens to block NATO supply if govt doesn’t take action
In a statement released, the conference said that an OIC meeting should be called on the film and delegations from religious and political parties should be sent to various Muslim countries.
It noted that if the United Nations Security Council fails in making a law against blasphemy, then Pakistan will leave the UN and form a separate 'Muslim United Nations,' the statement added.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while addressing the conference, said that hurting the sentiments of humanity in the name of freedom of speech is against human rights.
Founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) who also spoke at the occasion demanded US President Barack Obama to ban the film, while Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Munawar Hassan said that the US should make laws to prevent such incidents from recurring.
The conference was also addressed by Gen (retd) Hamid Gul, Sheikh Rasheed, Maulana Samiul Haq, Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi.

The decision is great. USA was not a powerful country before but they gained power with great decisions. Pakistan should take such great decisions (unhappily not taken yet), Pakistan can have fund and support from other countries as well because Pakistan is not the only country that speaks for Blasphemy. These developed countries think themselves the Master of the world. They do not respect any religion. They think themselves Supernatural creatures. We cannot disrespect any Prophet so they hurt us by this way. Well Done Pakistan's Politicians! We do not need technology but Respect and Love of Prophet (SAW).

If Pakistan quits the UN, then what will happen to the resolution of the core issue of Kashmir with India. I guess then Pakistan will relinquish its claims with the UN and forfeit Kashmir! With that they can give up asking for UN/ International arbitration for Indus Water Treaty!
Isn't the Muslim United Nations supposed to be the Ummah? We can very well see how cohesive they are. And sure enough Pakistan can be the leaders of this organization.

There already is a nonbinding resolution in UN presented each year by OIC that is against 'defamation of Islam'. Western nations continue to vote against it. Was the APC referring to some resolution in addition to the existing resolution which clearly did not serve the purpose you were seeking? If yes, please tell us the dealine after which Pakistan will cease to be a member of the UN.
Also those concerned about Pakistani soverignty - I have a question for you. Will you allow these non-elected goons to dictate your country's foreign poloicy and violate agreements reached with others? If that happens, can you call yourslelf sovereign?
They're not big on thinking before they make big claims. The fact none of these things will happen are just one more time they've made an unrealistic bluff that doesn't get called - but goes ignored. Don't you want to be taken seriously at some point in the future?
