Only opportunists are leaving PTI, says Imran Khan
Khan was addressing a press conference at his residence in Lahore.
“In coming months, good reputed politicians will join the party; PTI will win the upcoming elections on the basis of its manifesto and ideology,” Khan said.
On September 26, PTI’s Central Vice President Shireen Mazari resigned from the party. She was served a show-cause notice by the party administration after she had alleged that the “the party and its Chairman have been hijacked by feudals.”
Calling PTI and Pakistan’s ideology the same thing, Khan said his party will make this country an Islamic welfare state and social justice will prevail.
Recently, former MNA Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Jalil Ahmad Sharkpuri, founding member of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Ahsanul Haq, PPP ticket holder Hafiz Abdul Rehman Saahi, senior Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chaundhry Waheed Uddin and Farooqabad nazim Sabir Hussain Bhatti joined the PTI.
All the new members expressed their confidence in Khan’s leadership and said only he can rescue the country from prevailing crisis.

Imran Khan Niazi has invented his own dictionary:
Youth; any member of PTI, even if he is over 60 and uses Kala Kola. Revolution; whenever a new member joins the party with media trumpet. Status Quo; whatever happens to other parties is all status quo for Mr Niazi. Change; any agenda that IK promises, regardless of its implemenability. In an interview referred below, IK called Shireen Mazari, an ideologist, a nationalist, a friend. He hoped that once her emotional state is over, she might rejoin PTI. He said she would never join other parties. IK called her an emotional person.
Imran Khan nicely explained the classic principle that parties in the whole world follow. “If you have a grievance, bring that within party through proper channel. DO NOT GO Public about that”. Going public gives ammunition to the enemies and further strengthened the status go. The rule in such situation is to give a show cause notice. If you do not give a show cause notice, the party discipline will fall to the dust and damage the party in a decisive way. Because of this action, the party will become steel. When opportunists were joining him he had no problems. Now if an old and apparently dedicated member of the party leaves, she is termed an opportunist.
If he can see opportunists leaving the PTI why can't he see the opportunists who have joined him in the recent past? Or will he blame his future failure on the "opportunists" who left the party at an inopportune time?
So people without opportunities are joining?
Note to Kaptaan: This is the not the Pakistani Cricket Team of the 80's, where you would only play in the team if made the Captain! Time to show some maturity instead of acting like a spoiled child instead of serving notice on anyone who criticises you.

Why IK was unable to see that opportunist are joining PTI? Why he was blind then? Why he can only see true character of a politician when he is leaving PTI? Well, this is just hypocricy. IK is a as conventianal / dictator-style politician or party head as others. On the other hands PTI workers are extremely emotional/ immature / Yes-man.

Another of those ET tricks against IK. This press conference was before Shireen Mazari quit. IK's reference of opportunists was not for her but such has been the timing and placement on the website that everyone takes it like that. While I am happy over the exodus of some of the traditional names, Shireen Mazari's exit may come as a blessing in disguise. IK needs a wake up call. He was getting too cocky that he could get away with murder. A perfect follow up would be an IRI or PEW survey that shows a decline in his popularity. The long standing PTI supporters won't mind that.

I think what IK forgot was that tsunami is most dangerous when the water recedes. Didn't Qazi Saheb or Mullanah Fazl teach you that? Don't and stop making PTI a political wing of JI or JUI! Wow to.many comments, first thing first IK did not said "opportunist" to shereen mizari. Second thing shereen join pti in 2008 and she is not a 17 year old member like me. She have problems with SMQ and personaly me i didn't liked his entry in party, its not mean i leave a party becaz SMQ joined pti. Mark my word SMQ will never get elected as a vice chairman of pti. For God's sake let Imran khan bring change. Those who are speaking against Imran Khan's mission are on the side of Looters. Has any leader given a Hospital like Shoukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital to the poor people of Pakistan? None. Imran Khan is not a Farishta but whatever he is doing is undubetedly for the betterment of poor people of Pakistan and will be remembered for ever. Imran's statement is not directed towards Shireen Mazari, who still vows to work for PTI as she expressed her views about Imran in a program, but people like bhinder, hoti and like who are demanding tickets and who joined the party seeing the popular waive.
You have lost as a honest politician you are talking against your own members how can the ordinary man trust you after this.
Imran is only hope for Pakistan. We as a nation should give him one chance. As we all know, all other politicians are already tested several times.
no matter what the matter is, imran khan deserves a chance and i'm still with pti for that very reason.
we mustn't forget that great leaders show a vision; they tell us what they believe in. it's that vision that lives on, people come and go. pti has a very focused vision, lets all keep that in sight.
Reality of Pakistani politics...it appears the idealists are the last to realize their Great Idealist is the most ruthless realist of them all. This influx of entrants to PTI is the best test of character, wisdom and leadership of IK, which he is failing miserably.
If opportunists are leaving PTI, it means this party is not coming into power.
IK generally prefers authoritarian environment as it suits him most.

Imran Khan is making the same mistake that Musharraf made in 2003. That is, Musharraf was not himself bad but to have more control and popularity of his ideology, he tried to depend on famous politicians and famous names (i-e PML(Q)) an they ruined him & his government. The history is repeating itself and Imran Khan is much drowned in popularity of feudal-minded and notorious politicians that he is not minding losing jewels like Shireen Mazari, who have been there with him when his party was nothing.
PTI should move to get Shirin Mazari back to its fold. The grievances of an idealogical member must be addressed. Hopefully the wise lady would not provide the political opponents of PTI a chance to cast aspersions on the person of IK.

He probably wasn't talking about Dr. Mazari but about the recent joinings (some of whom are leaving after not getting choice positions or tickets).
IK you may face more frustration do not worry..........go ahead. Pakistani society is failed to evolve a good system to produce good people, work hard such issues would be resolved and at the end your vision will count.
IK wake up, Shireen Mazari is not an opportunist, it is others who surround you now, who were with NS, left him when he was not in power, joined Musharraf and are now with you. If this is just a trailer, than we can visualize what will happen if PTI is voted to power.

She is not one of the founding members of the party, infact she only joined in October 2008, before the party boycotted the polls. But sad to see her leave the party !!!

It took Imran Khan 17 years to realise that Sherien Mazari was an opportunist:) Khan sb, she was with you from that time when PTI was known as "Taanga wali Party, (bakol Shaikh Rasheed) " but now due to your so called principles she had left with no option but to leave the democratic PTI where one can't speak against you.
Shireen Mazari quits PTI ------- now she might be many things or might not be many things, however, this woman can not be labelled an "Opportunists" by any stretch of imgination. If she can be called an opportunist then what else this party is. It's time to replace 'I' for an 'O' from the PTI and call it what it always has been, a Tehreek of Opportunist, lead by one and followed by many opportunists.
We are not embarrssed until the Imran khan is in front. Only Imran leaded his party when nobody was with him. We hope that IK will surely bring change.
