Khar meets Afghan foreign minister, discusses cross border infiltration

The two foreign ministers met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar raised the issue of cross border infiltration and shelling in a meeting with Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmay Rassoul on Tuesday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

According to a press release issued by the Pakistan UN Mission, the two foreign ministers reviewed progress on the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA) and expressed the commitment of their respective governments to fully implement the agreement.

Khar and her Afghan counterpart also discussed the importance of working closely to effectively address the border management issue.

The foreign minister also reiterated Pakistan's support for an Afghan owned, led and driven reconciliation process.

On Wednesday, Khar is scheduled to participate in a meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir.

They completely destroyed the peaceful social fabric of Pakistan by infecting the country with their endless penchant for crime and terrorism. Klia | 12 years ago | Reply @Jat: Rest very well assured, the Pakistani Pashtuns very much do recognize the border, when will you Afghans understand that Pakistani Pashtuns do NOT identify with you at all? The Pakistani Pashtuns are patriotic Pakistanis and they were always the ones at the forefront of thwarting your country's expansionist designs against Pakistan. Besides, what difference does it make to anyone what you Afghans recognize and what you don't?

She is totally dense and as a politician a total failure, whenever she visits her district, once in a couple of years, her motorcade gets pelted with stones by her electorate! Not to mention her elder brother was accused of dousing a girl with acid few years back! She belongs to an oppressive feudal family who are well known for torturing their land peasants and running private jails.

Vienna,September 26,2012 Hope it is not for the founding initiatives of a United Nations without the symbol of failure. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, OIC can easily be a substitute to the United Nations considering geography,population mass and of course the determination for success is concerned. But there numerous factors beyond the control of the faithful.Let us wait and watch how Pakistan´s double diplomacy on Afghanistan works.
