Skill development: 407 awarded certificates

93 skills courses were being offered to help unemployed people, says Aftab Ahmad.

BAHAWALPUR: As many as 407 people from Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran and Muzaffargarh were awarded certificates on completing a training. The training was held in collaboration with the Skill Development Fund and Children Global Network Pakistan. MNA Balighur Rehman presided over the event. Aftab Ahmad, technical manager at the Skill Development Fund, said that 93 skills courses were being offered to help unemployed people. He said 40 social organizations were helping the Fund to conduct the skill development programme at 164 educational institutes in the district. Addressing the ceremony, MNA Rehman said that 30,000 unemployed people will be trained by the Skill Development Fund in 2012-2013. Last year, he said, 14,000 people received the training.
