Women’s cricket: Sana 8th in T20 rankings

Pakistan captain and all-rounder Sana Mir was the country’s lone representative in the top 20 of both batting and bowling categories as the International Cricket Council (ICC) launched the Twenty20 international rankings in Colombo yesterday.

Sana was placed eighth in the bowlers’ rankings, which was topped by Australian Lisa Sthalekar (666) followed by India’s Jhulan Goswami (653)  and West Indies’ Shanel Daley (649). In the batters’ list, Sarah Taylor headed the rankings. Sthalekar also led the all-rounders’ category, followed by West Indies’ Stafanie Taylor and Laura Marsh of England.
