Poor performance: Market committee secy to be prosecuted

DCO Noorul Amin Mengal issued the directive during a surprise visit to the Sunday Bazaar.

LAHORE: District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal on Sunday directed that the Begum Kot Sunday Bazaar market committee secretary be prosecuted for his failure to ensure quality of vegetables and fruits sold at the facility.  He issued the directive during a surprise visit to the Sunday Bazaar. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (City) Saira Umar, Ravi Town admisnistrator and two municipal officers. The DCO also ordered that the services of the Ravi Town ATOR and reprimanded the AC (City) and the TMO over unsatisfactory conditions at the Sunday Bazaar. He asked the TMO to improve monitoring of the Sunday Bazaars in his jurisdiction. Mengal said only good quality food products should be sold at these bazaars. He also directed the AC (City) to documents all petrol pumps in Begum Kot area.
