Football: ‘Grenade’ thrown during match

The AFC Champions League game between Iranian side Sepahan and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli did not generate any goals, but it did produce one volatile moment. The match was paused as a series of missiles and other debris were thrown onto the pitch at the Foolad Shahr Stadium in Ira, according to ibtimes.co.uk. Midfielder Kolahkaj was caught on film picking up a black object and heedlessly throwing it off the pitch when he came to help get the objects off the field along with other players. The object exploded the as soon as it hit the ground, though fortunately nobody was injured.
