Crime: Man held for attempted rape

Police took the suspect into custody and registered a case.

ISLAMABAD: A man was arrested on charges of attempting to rape a four-year-old girl, the Shehzad Town police said on Thursday. Muhammad Amin, a resident of Sohan Town, called the Shehzad Town police and reported that he and some neighbours had held a man trying to rape his daughter. Amin told the police that the suspect, a resident of Iqbal Town near Sohan, was arrested in a position with his trousers down and the girl crying in his arms. Police took the suspect into custody and registered a case.
