Birthday wishes: Altaf asks institutions not to overstep their authority
The party announced on Sunday that there would be no congregation to mark the birthday.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Altaf Hussain has reiterated his call for all institutions of Pakistan to work within their own framework, and warned that if they tried to overstep their authority it would harm the country. Altaf spoke to party workers via telephone from London as they amassed at the party’s headquarters in Karachi to mark his 59th birthday.
The party announced on Sunday that there would be no congregation to mark the birthday because of the factory fires in Karachi and Lahore last week in which over 250 people were killed.
