Nato goods targeted: Two injured in IED explosion

A man belonging to an unknown militant group claimed responsibility for the explosion.

 Two people were injured on Monday when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in Shahgai area, Khyber agency, targeting a Nato container en route to Afghanistan. The injured were identified as Nazar Muhammad, a driver, and Gul Muhammad, a cleaner. They were taken to the Hayatabad Medical Complex.


Talking to reporters from an undisclosed location, a man belonging to an unknown militant group claimed responsibility for the explosion. He said his name was Abu Hamza.

This was the fourth attack on Nato containers since the route was reopened on July 3, 2012.
