Attracting businesses: Iranian official’s visit to boost trade

Visit of the President of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce will bring the two countries closer through bilateral trade.

ISLAMABAD: Azad Group Chairman Raja Hassan Akhtar and President Salman Ali said that the visit of the President of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce will bring the two countries closer through bilateral trade and mutual contacts. In a joint statement issued on Monday, they said that Pakistan wants friendly relations with all countries including India, Afghanistan and Iran. The attendees urged the government to stop forthwith the smuggling going on at the Iran-Pakistan border. They also stressed upon the expedition of the visa process through simple means to boost confidence of traders. “There is a large market for Pakistani goods in Iran and several Iranian goods could make inroads in the Pakistani market with effortless ease,” they said. They also appealed to the Iranian consulate to establish a separate booth for issuance of business visas to Pakistani traders.
