Football: Law-and-order situation disrupts PPFL

KARACHI: The Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) endured a disruptive day on Monday as only one out of the three scheduled matches saw players in action. HBL and KPT played out a 1-1 draw with HBL’s Asim Muhammad scoring in the 17th minute only for Muhammad to equalise in the 81st. KPT are now placed 10th with four points after six matches followed by HBL with five. In another match, NBP were awarded a walkover as Navy failed to show up at the KPT Stadium in Karachi due to the law-and-order situation in the city. The last match of the day between Wohaib FC and PMC Athletico FC due was also called off, with the match officials citing bad pitch conditions as the reason for the postponement.
