Crime: Man shot dead, woman killed

ISLAMABAD: A man and a woman were killed in the Airport area on Saturday. In the first incident, Bakht Rasheed lodged a complaint with the police that his brother, Akhtar Ali, was allegedly shot dead by Shahid and Taj over a financial dispute. He said his brother was on his way to Shahid’s shop when the suspects allegedly opened fire at him near Tayyab CNG Station in the Gulraiz area and killed him on the spot. In another incident, Raza Hussain complained to the police that his mother, Shahnaz Shaukat, was hit by a van belonging to a secret agency while she was walking on a roadside with his brother, Shabeeh Hussain. Meanwhile, Ghulam Hussain reported to the police that his wife, Nasreen, had gone missing. He feared that she might have been abducted.
