Express April 09, 2010

ISLAMABAD:

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court requesting the initiation of contempt of court proceedings against federal Law Minister Babar Awan.

The petition has been filed by advocate Asad Tariq. In his petition he says the Attorney General has said on record that despite the orders by the Supreme Court, the Law Minister was not cooperating with him for re-opening Swiss cases.

It is yet to be seen whether the court accepts this petition for hearing or not.
