Waterborne diseases: People suffering from gastroenteritis
A child died and dozens of people were hospitalised as gastroenteritis spread across Talhar.

A child died and dozens of people were hospitalised as gastroenteritis spread across Talhar and surrounding areas after the = rains. Besides gastroenteritis, other waterborne diseases such as malaria spread due to the use of contaminated water. The municipal authorities were requested to focus on sanitary conditions to save people from such contagious diseases. Those affected were admitted in government and private medical facilities.
