BAHAWALPUR:
“Punjab government is striving to promote quality education,” MNA Balighur Rehman said on Monday. He was addressing a ceremony to inaugurate new rooms at the Government Girls High School in Muhajir Colony. The new rooms have been constructed at a cost of Rs1.7 million. Rehman said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had taken valuable steps for provision of scholarships to the position holders so that they could pursue higher studies in foreign countries. He said a guard of honour will also be presented to position holders. Rehman said that Danish Schools were providing children of the poor quality education. He said that vocational training institutes were being constructed for girls. A new polytechnic institute building was also being constructed in Bahawalpur, he said. EDO (education) Naseem Mansoor was also present at the ceremony.
