Immunisation drive: Anti-polio campaign starts today

Around 16.9 million children under the age of five years will be immunised: Expanded Programme on Immunisation

ISLAMABAD: The next round of the three-day national polio immunisation campaign will commence from Monday in 89 districts of the country. According to an official of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation, around 16.9 million children under the age of five years will be immunised. He said oral polio vaccines will be administered in all the participating districts. He added that the districts are effectively running awareness campaigns to educate parents about the importance of anti-polio drops.
