LANDIKOTAL: A barber shop was partially damaged when a homemade bomb planted by unidentified assailants went off in Landikotal Bazaar, Khyber Agency on Sunday. Nadir Khan, the owner, said that he was inside his shop, tending a customer, when the explosion occurred. He said he has no personal disputes with anyone. An official of the paramilitary troops, Tika Khan, said that it was a low intensity homemade bomb which did not cause much damage. “Only the door and windows of the shop were damaged,” the official added. Few people were around the shop and no one was injured, he said. The police said that suspected militants might be involved because they are against people who shave their beards.
