Where is Sepoy Maqbool Husain now?

Letter September 09, 2012
Sepoy Maqbool Husain of the Azad Kashmir Regiment was a prisoner of war in India for 40 years (1965-2005).

ISLAMABAD: Sepoy Maqbool Husain of the Azad Kashmir Regiment was a prisoner of war in India for 40 years (1965-2005). He suffered physically, mentally and emotionally while in Indian captivity before returning to Pakistan in September 2005 after an accord between the two countries on exchange of prisoners.

His story has generated some questions in my mind: where is Sepoy Maqbool Husain now? Is he being looked after? The families of martyred soldiers are looked after by the Pakistan Army. Has he been taken care of in a similar manner? Has he been recommended for any military award? Will the ISPR please inform the nation about the fate of Sepoy Maqbool Hussain?
