Illegal Activities: 18 caught in a day

Police said 2,070 grams of heroin, 1,241 grams hashish, 34 bottles of liquor were seized.

SARGODHA: City police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 18 men for possession of illegal weapons, drug peddling and selling rotten meat.

The suspects arrested for drug trade were identified as Khurram Shahzad, Imran Rajpoot, Syed Sajid Abbas, Khawaja Mudassar, Iqbal Lohar, Ramazan, Jahangir Gondal, Muhammad Malik, Maqsood, Naeem and Muhammad Arshad; those held for carrying illegal weapons as Riaz Ahmed, Arshad Hujjam, Farhan Mughal and Liaqat Ali and those for selling rotten meat as Muhammad Ramazan, Saqlain Ahmed and Muhamamd Ejaz.

Police said 2,070 grams of heroin, 1,241 grams hashish, 34 bottles of liquor, 800 kilos of rotten meat and five guns were seized from the suspects.
