LAHORE: The city government has installed streamers behind more than 25,000 rickshaws to advertise the vaccination drive against polio.  Chairing a Scouts Ceremony at Town Hall on Friday, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said the fight against polio was no less than a war.  He said every citizen should play their role in eliminating the disease.  The ceremony was attended by Dr Debra from WHO, Mariam Raza Zaidi from the UNICEF and the Rotary Club Lahore president.  Mengal said scouts should facilitate vaccination at transit points like the railway stations and bus stands.  He said the scout would be paid Rs200 a day to join the polio vaccination campaign starting from September 10 till September 12.  He said the scouts should inform the administration if they faced any problems.
