Kamra attack: 3 attackers identified, PCNS told
The air commodore was briefing the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) on the Kamra Base attack.
He informed the committee that three of the nine terrorists who attacked the Kamra Air Base hailed from Punjab.
Earlier, in the attack that led to increased security on army bases, militants pounded the heart of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Minhas situated at Kamra — the place where the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), a leading aviation and defence production centre of Pakistan is located.
The attack by militants on the PAF airbase and operation by security forces lasted for over four hours in which at least eight militants and one security official were killed.
Minhas is home to two operational fighter squadrons, a search and rescue squadron and an air-surveillance squadron comprising the Saab-2000 Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems (AEW&C).
Various villages are situated on the outskirts of the base.
The main road of the PAC, on which all four factories are located, was open to the public until the suicide attack in 2007. These reasons made Minhas a prized target.

I suppose in their eagerness to emphasize the ethnicity (or residence?) of the attackers ....somebody forgot to mention that they were in fact Pakistani. "3 of the nine attackers hailed from Punjab".....the rest were Pakistanis...???

Why are so many ppl here in denial that there are a lot of fundamentalists/taliban loving Punjabis also. This Saudi born disease has gotten into a lot of our ppl. We should admit the fact and try to stop this proxy war being fought in our country between Saudi Arab and Iran.
@ Ali. Good point. So many of those terrorists in Quetta have been killed/caught but none have been identified/made public so far. Maybe it is to prevent a civil war or something, as they are target killers from a certain sect and race.
Surely they must all be Black Water, RAW, Mosad, Khad etc. etc. types. After all how can there be any Muslim terrorist in Pakistan because almost all of the victims of these attacks are Muslims. Has there ever been any documented killing of a Muslim at the hands of another Muslim!!

As I always mention time and again, the people at the helm of affairs are either incompetent from the core or accomplice in the plans of the enemies (here I am talking about the countries, not their local stooges) to destroy Pakistan. Is there anybody to identify and remove these traitors and stooges installed in important positions using corruption and the corrupt system.

Here is a part of a news item from this newspaper:
"...According to details, the terrorists were killed when three suicide jackets, each carrying 0.5 kg of explosives, went off as they were planning to leave their temporary residence. Police have identified two of the terrorists as Mawia Tariq and Omar Irfan, both belonging to Mandi Bahauddin, and have shifted the bodies to DHQ Bhakkar for post mortem."
If the comment from Nadir was meant to be satirical, then the satire is effectively disguised. Does he mean to say that Americans orchestrated the attack or he is making fun of the popular propaganda.
Which Punjab ? Indian Punjab or Israeli or American ? Surely a conspiracy against Pakistan. Same was the case where the three suicide bombers blew themselves up; they all have been identified too.
