Suspects at large: Cop testifies in student’s murder case

The next hearing is scheduled for September 19.

KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court I heard the testimony of a police officer, who had originally filed the FIR of the alleged murder of a Jamia Farooqia student in Karachi. The accused, Ali Raza alias Ali Langra, was charged with killing the seminary student, Ahmer Qamar, last December. The charge sheet states that other students were present when the attack took place. According to an earlier document filed at the court, the students were reportedly outside the seminary during their break between Asr and Maghrib prayers. Several suspects have not been arrested, including Hassan, Zeeshan Haider, Anees Abbas, Shahzad, Agha Johnny, Amaar, Khurram, Shania, Baqa, Farjam, Syed Jania Jaffery, Yasar, Faraz, Aamir, Imran, Hashim, Pyaaray, Agha Rashid, Hassan Compounder, Sajjad Tunda, Tanveer, Prince, Shaani, Naseeb, Shahrukh and Bilal. The next hearing is scheduled for September 19.
