Militant attack: Peace militia member targeted

PESHAWAR: A bomb exploded near the house of local peace militia member, Qari Abdur Rehman, in the jurisdiction of Badabher police station. According to a police official, the bomb damaged the main gate of the house as well as two adjacent rooms. A woman was also injured in the explosion. “The bomb weighed at least three kilogrammes,” said Zar Muhammad, leader of the peace militia. He said Rehman was targeted since he was his close aide. “They are trying to put pressure on our peace militia members through these tactics,” he said.
