A new alliance of oil-carrying vehicles has warned of a protest against the illegal loading of oil tankers.
The chairperson of the All Pakistan Hazara Oil Tankers Owners Association, Iqbal Khan Jhangiri, said that some private oil marketing companies were violating the rights of other oil tanker owners through this practice.
“We have sent letters to those involved and have given them till September 7 to accept our terms or else we will be forced to go on strike,” said Jhangiri.
He added that in the last three months more than 300 oil tankers, which were supplying oil to Nato, had started working privately in the local oil supply which affected their work.
