Halting journey: PIA cancels domestic flights

PESHAWAR:


Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cancelled its flights from Peshawar to Chitral and Islamabad as rain flooded airport grounds, said Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson Pervaiz George.


Rainfall at Bacha Khan International Airport and its surrounding areas was measured at 80mm, a Peshawar met office official said.

Every second flight to Chitral is cancelled on one pretext or the other. How come when a flight is cancelled because of rain it becomes a news all of a sudden?
