Fatal mishap: Two killed, six injured in road accident

MARDAN: Two passengers were killed while six others were injured when a pick-up vehicle hit a tree near Forest check-post in the Rustam area. An official of the Rustam police said that the vehicle was en route to Sher Darra in Swabi from Kago Buner to celebrate an engagement ceremony. In trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle, the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into the tree. A woman named Hidayat and a two-year-old boy named Abbas were killed on the spot. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital Rustam where they were treated.
